Options for visiting
If you are a PhD candidate or a postdoctoral researcher with your own funding and are interested in visiting the group, please email me with the subject line “Looking for visit: Your Name Here” (use this exact phrase replacing “Your Name Here” with your actual name). Include:
- A brief description of your research
- Your reasons for the visit
- A tentative timeline
- Your academic CV (as an attachment)

Options for advising
If you are seeking an advisor and you have your own funding, first ensure that you comply with all requirements and regulations from UiO. If so, email me with the subject line “Looking for advisor: Your Name Here” (use this exact phrase replacing “Your Name Here” with your actual name). Include:
- A brief description of your background and experience
- Your reasons for requesting me as an advisor
- A brief description of your funding source(s)
- Your academic CV (as an attachment)

What do we require?
- A degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field
- A strong background in mathematics and statistics; experience in computer vision or machine learning is desirable
- Excellent programming skills; experience with Python or C/C++ and modern deep learning toolkits is desirable
- A strong academic record and an eagerness to learn and tackle challenging scientific problems
- Fluency in English, spoken and written
